The Okuma Celilo Kokanee Pro Trolling Rod also combines the best Kokanee Salmon/Steelhead Casting Rod features you can find. The Celilo Specialty Series rods use a lightweight sensitive graphite composite blank adorned by guide inserts that handle lines from 2-8 lbs with aplomb. As a casting model, the Okuma Celilo Kokanee rod's fore and rear cork grips are perfectly suited for the job while also delivering a design for trolling with a tapered rear grip.

The two Okuma Celilo Kokanee rods feature different guide inserts. The CE-C-702L model carries aluminum oxide guide inserts, while the CE-C-762Lb rod, a Celilo Specialty "B" rod, relies on titanium oxide guide inserts to escort fishing lines. Both offer durable stainless steel reel seat hoods and a two-piece rod configuration for easy storage and travel. Heading out to the lake or reservoir where this salmon lurks? Check out the versatility and dead-on rod action found in an Okuma Celilo Kokanee fishing rod!

I have been looking for something to go one level in the weight class from my HMG Fenwick to cast 3-4 oz weights past the breakwater here on Long Island. 20# is the min with a solid casting reel (TICA Striper LE200). Great for long reach out and putting the bait at the fish.

    Okay for the price

I would recommend this rod only to someone wanting to spend as little money as possible for a trolling rod. $25 more buys one a much better rod (Lamiglass)

I paired this rod up with a vintage Shimano Bantam Mag loaded with 6lb. fluorocarbon. I fish small lakes and reservoirs for trout from my small aluminum boat. Trolling small spoons and drifting live herring provide my omega-3.The rod is perfect for this type of fishing and if I ever catch the BIG ONE, I think it can handle it.
