A single hand opens the simple spring loaded flap to reach the activation button on the Ocean Signal rescueME PLB device. Depressing the button sends a distress message to the appropriate search and rescue authorities, regardless of where you are, in any weather conditions, and at any time 365 days a year. The rescueME PLB1 transmits your ID to a Rescue Coordination Center via satellite link, which promptly notifies rescue services nearest your position and continually informs them of your current location.
