Product Details

The Nils USA Auger Replacement Cutting Head brings back fast, clean holes when staying mobile matters while chasing walleye, lake trout, perch, or crappie. A one-piece cutting head replaces individual blades to create a stronger, continuous cutting surface that tracks true through hard ice and refrozen layers. High chromium steel holds an edge longer than standard auger blades, cutting down on touch-ups and mid-day swaps, while a red powder-coat finish slows corrosion in wet, freezing conditions. Compatible with Nils USA hand augers and power augers, the 8 in. power auger cutting head adds an integrated power point for confident starts and steady drilling.

    The original blade head dulled quickly. I was able to sharpen too where it would cut again. I have 30 years experience as a toolmaker. The replacement head is sharpened at a different relief angle so I'm hoping it will stay sharp longer than the original.

    This will make your Nils auger perform like new, though I've found that if you hit the bottom by accident the blade becomes totally useless. Don't even think of attempting to sharpen it yourself. You will not get it right. I definitely recommend this blade replacement and FishUSA, but after going through two blades in three seasons, I'm not really excited about the Nils auger.

    FishUSA is a great shop to order from. Very fast and easy to order. I have had my nils 6" auger for 5 years and has performed awesome ! I figured it was time to get a replacement head just incase, well after using the new head only 3 times disaster struck. While drilling a hole I hit some drift wood that was lodged in the ice and now it is complete junk. Won't cut hot butter. Not the augers fault but my only complaint is that it is to delicate. It only took a few turns to ruin the blade. Guess I will put the old head back on and spend another chunk of $$ for a new one

    Fishusa has good service and great products. NILS replacement 6inch does the job. I bought one as back up for my auger.
