Small and lively for panfish.
I use all different sizes of the Mepps.

I use these small dressed Mepps spinners with ultra lite reels/rods with 6 to 8 lbs test line and catch crappie and white bass. AND yes, large mouth bass try to take it away from me also. I cast mostly but I also do some vertical jigging and I sometimes troll with them behind a JetDiver @ 8 feet deep. I have been using Mepps spinners for over 35 years! I live in the Houston Texas area and fish various TEXAS lakes. But I have used these spinners in Arkansas, Wisconsin, Illinois, Kentucky and Tennessee and caught fish in all those states. Matter fact a large mouth bass tournament fisherman gave me $20.00 for one of my Mepps Spinners back in the late seventies (Green River) which is actually a lake.

Over the many years I have been using Mepes Spinners, they have been good for Walleye, Bass and Northern Pike. Good all around lure to have in the tackle box.
These lures are a standby, and an absolute must when fishing the creeks and rivers for white bass! My wife isn't skilled at fishing, but when I tie on one of these she is lights out! Awesome to watch her fill a stringer when all the men around her are not having much luck! One of the best lures ever made!

MEPPS #3 a must for every Tackle Box

This is a great lure to catch aggressive fish. Depending on the depth of the water you need to start your retrieve quickly after it hits the water to avoid snags.
The Gold Standard of Spinners
No other spinner works like the classic Mepp's. From panfish to pike, these spinners catch them all. I always have a bunch of misc sizes in my tackle bag. A "must have" lure for all fishermen.

Worked amazing, caught two very nice trout Brook fishing. One large brown spotted and a med. Rainbow trout.
Always my favorite Mepps Dressed Aglia Spinner
1/12 Red squirrel with silver spinner is my go to for any creek, pond or lake if I want to catch fish consistently. Also dressed gray. Gold spinners work but not as well for me. Have caught Bluegill, Green Sunfish, Bass, and Stripers on these. Fish with confidence with these.
