The Megabass Great Hunting Huntsman Travel Rod is purpose-built for trout anglers who need top-tier performance in a compact, backcountry-ready package. The ergonomic Hunting Angle Handle is carved from solid natural wood, offering a comfortable grip for long days on remote creeks and alpine streams. Slender blanks tuned by ITO Engineering deliver powerful torque for driving long casts and controlling strong trout in current. A new ultra-lightweight titanium frame SiC guide system reduces line stress, enabling smooth, low-trajectory casting and fluid retrieves. Precision-machined seat parts, cut from high-strength aluminum blocks, combine with a slim, high-rigidity trigger and contoured wood grip for a secure, fatigue-free feel on the water.

    Spectacular- weight rating is 2-10 grams but I was easily casting 1.4 gram lures out 40 feet. The tip is wild. It easily handled 16 inch trout in relatively fast water and feels capable of much more. The tip is very fast but there is a lot of power in the butt section. Easy to overcast so be aware. Lovely finish work very comfortable rod with the pistol grip. Perhaps a little long for tight water conditions out east but it can really put a cast way out there. Minimal effort to get the tip in motion. I have not cast lures over 4 grams on it yet, maybe next spring. Lovely rod in all respects.
