Chameleon The Line That Fools Fish
by Gary
Very great leader that doesn't have the propensity to stay wound up in the spool shape. You won't be disappointed.

Seems to have less memory in cold weather than some others I've used.

I use Max Cameleon in the Butt Section from 30# down to #15....Then use Ultragreen the rest of the way to either a 5 or 6 X tippet leader...This material is very easy to handle and the blood knots on a leader that it makes are very small compared to other leader material....
Leader for Big Guys
by elkomike -
Am fortunate to live around hatcheries with supply of trout that get to 10-lbs or so. At times these big fellows like their food in small morsels (e.g. #20 or #22 sized bites). The fishing is done best during winter months when there are fewer weeds, but winter temperatures can be zero or even a bit below. So I need tippet that is small, stretchy for the shock, and performs well when it is cold. Maxima is my choice for these conditions. My impression, without study to back it up, is that this leader weakens quickly. Twice now after landing a 2nd good-sized trout I've had knots break on the 3rd ones. Now I make it a rule to rerig after catching 1 or 2 large trout as i suspect the material weakens when put to heavy use.

Max Ultragreen is the only leader material I will ever use....It easy to work with and the knots are super strong.....
This stuff rocks!

Always appreciate a quality product and the chance to review it with others. This line is my go-to leader material. If you're looking for something with the invisibility of a quality flurocarbon and the knot and line strength of monofilament, look no further, this is the stuff. It has replaced all of my fluro leader applications except for very low and clear water with pressured fish.
Good leader material....period !!
