I tie all my leaders with Maxima. I don't know of any other material that is easier to use,or has the right amount of stiffness to turn over my flys in a strong wind.From the flats in Biscayne Bay to the many S. Florida canals that I fish. Maxima gets the job done.

I have used Maxima leader material for 10 yrs now. As a fly guide. Nothing beats this stuff. Price, ease of use, toughness. It has it all.

Always thought making your own tapered leaders was time consuming and wouldn't be as strong as a manufactured tapered leader. I was wrong in both cases. With this material and a blood knot tool, it doesn't get any easier. Will end up saving well over a $150.00 making my own and produce twice as many with this material. I can change tippet strenghts as needed right on the stream.

Use this leader summer and winter. good knot strength. nice and stiff. Use this ice fishing and as a leader for trolling steamers and for use with my dodger to tie on tag lures.
