One of my favorite trout lures

This lure is very versatile. You can just cast it and reel it in on a steady retrieve or you can cast reel and pause like a jerkbait. I've caught trout, steelhead and smallmouth on this lure.

They have started to make these poorer in quality. Fishing partners and I have had some issues with them lately. Hooks pulling out of lure while fighting fish, twice. Another time the lure literally broke in half while fighting a fish. It may have been a bad batch but we were all quite disappointed and annoyed. I used to think these were really good, but now I'm beginning to think they might not be worth using.

I use the brown trout pattern in central PA and the trout love it. Ive caught more trout through the winter this year using these over any other lure. I recommend the 2.5 for most smaller streams.
