Worked great! Paired with my 5" mora and a quality 18v Li-ion drill this thing burns through ice! Last trip out I was punching holes in 13" of ice with ease. I bet it would work even better with a 6" lazer or nils.

Works with my 1/2 inch drive, keyless chuck, cordless drill. It fits both my eskimo and strikemaster mora augers.

I bought this to use when fishing on a nearby lake where gas augers are not permitted. Typically, I like to quickly get several holes drilled for the kids so that they have something to keep them occupied while I get the shelter set up etc. I use it with an 18V DeWalt NiCad drill. What I found was this: On cooler days (-15 to -25 degrees Celsius) I have extremely poor performance with my batteries. Lithium ion batteries would perform better. If I could somehow keep the packs warm, this would likely help too. I am using an 8" auger (we have BIG fish up here). Surprisingly, it works. However, because of the cold-weather limitation of my drill batteries, I'll be lucky to get one hole out of a battery charge. Also, this is drilling through over two and-a-half feet of ice. One of the keys is keeping my blades sharp, and letting the auger do the work. Overall, a great product. I'm looking forward to using it with a beefier drill when my current drill gives up the ghost!

I have buddy's that use these and they are great kits. Beats the homemade ones and nice that it holds to your auger with the strap.

This auger adapter is well made and seems very true in alignment when drilling. It has a well thought out safety device if your auger should slip out of drill chuck. Some others have a metal rod or metal disc which rotates with auger. It might cause one a injury
