Ice Master Ice Auger/Power Drill Conversion Kit
Ice Master Ice Auger/Power Drill Conversion Kits makes converting your hand auger into a power as easy as inserting a drill bit into your drill! The affordable Ice Master adapters turn your existing power drill and ice auger into a easy-to-configure power auger! These Adapters will work with any cordless power drill, but 18.0 volt or higher drills are recommended. The Adapter fits 1/2 drill chucks.
The Ice Master features the exclusive Adapter Retainer. This feature protects the auger from falling through the ice (to the bottom of the lake) if the chuck comes loose. In addition, it takes the stress off the drill chuck from the weight of the auger.
- StrikeMaster/Eskimo Adapter - works with StrikeMaster Mora and Lazer hand augers, and Eskimo Standard and Barracuda hand augers. Please note that newer model Eskimo hand augers may require the pin hole of the Ice Master unit to be enlarged. Two-piece kit.
- Nils USA Adapter - works with Nils USA hand augers. This three-piece kit includes a large nut and bolt for use with this make of auger only.
Ice Master Ice Auger/Power Drill Conversion Kits are made in the U.S.A.

ice auger conversion kit

The ice auger conversion kit is just the thing that I was look for. I like the elastic band that goes around the drill. With this band I would save my auger and conversion kit if the chuck comes loose.

I wish I would of bought this years ago. No problems cutting through 3 feet of ice. Only thing is the stronger the drill the longer it will last, they werent kidding when they said 18V or greater. I would suggest this to anyone that wants an affortable, quick way to cut a hole.
Get a big drill

I used this for the first time this winter (late season) through about 20-26 inches of ice. It worked ok with a 20v drill, but I can only get about 5-7 holes out of each battery. I think it would be great for about 10-12 inches of ice, but late ice is a bit tough for it. Also, make sure your drill chuck is tight and your blades are sharp. Don't lean on the drill and try to make it go the same pace as you would a hand auger unless you have a pretty beastly drill. Overall a good buy!
A must have!

I have used nils augers for years now. This is just the ticket for my aging arms. A perfect fit for my drills. The only downfall is the drill guard should be bigger than the hole in case the auger comes loose from the drill.

Works Great with the Strike Master 6" auger and a Dewalt 18v cordless drill, Very impressed!

This product eliminates a whole lot of weight from the gear I take out on the ice. This year we have over 30 inches of ice with constant fluffy snow on top. Hauling a gas auger would not be fun. This adapter is simple and functional without any apparent downside.

I ordered on Wednesday had it in time to fish on sat. Thanks Fish U.S.A. for the prompt delivery. The product worked flawlessly. I have a 6 inch Laser auger drilled about twenty holes in eighteen inches of ice and still had plenty of power for more. Two batteries 18 volt lithium Hitachi gun. Seen other ideas of this and this is by far the best (bungee strap is a good idea. Read other reviews only complaints I read were people when apparently did not read or don't know how to follow instructions. First dealings with Fish U.S.A. very happy. Somewhere in Michigan
Excellent auger adapter

This auger adapter is well made and seems very true in alignment when drilling. It has a well thought out safety device if your auger should slip out of drill chuck. Some others have a metal rod or metal disc which rotates with auger. It might cause one a injury

I have buddy's that use these and they are great kits. Beats the homemade ones and nice that it holds to your auger with the strap.
Works as designed

I bought this to use when fishing on a nearby lake where gas augers are not permitted. Typically, I like to quickly get several holes drilled for the kids so that they have something to keep them occupied while I get the shelter set up etc. I use it with an 18V DeWalt NiCad drill. What I found was this: On cooler days (-15 to -25 degrees Celsius) I have extremely poor performance with my batteries. Lithium ion batteries would perform better. If I could somehow keep the packs warm, this would likely help too. I am using an 8" auger (we have BIG fish up here). Surprisingly, it works. However, because of the cold-weather limitation of my drill batteries, I'll be lucky to get one hole out of a battery charge. Also, this is drilling through over two and-a-half feet of ice. One of the keys is keeping my blades sharp, and letting the auger do the work. Overall, a great product. I'm looking forward to using it with a beefier drill when my current drill gives up the ghost!
Works with my 1/2 inch drive, keyless chuck, cordless drill. It fits both my eskimo and strikemaster mora augers.

Works as advertised.

Worked great! Paired with my 5" mora and a quality 18v Li-ion drill this thing burns through ice! Last trip out I was punching holes in 13" of ice with ease. I bet it would work even better with a 6" lazer or nils.

Combines with a Dewalt 20v and a 6" strike master lazer auger and it works awesome!!
Durable and East To Use

I bought this in January 2016 and used with Strikemaster Mora 8" & DEWALT Model # DCD771C2 $129 combo and Lazer 5" & RIDGID Model # R86116K $179 combo. For the drill, you must have the drill with auxiliary handle, don't use drills without auxiliary handle. Strikemaster Mora 8" & DEWALT Model # DCD771C2 $129 combo did the job, but I wasn't satisfied with 11" ice. Lazer 5" & RIDGID Model # R86116K $179 combo is the best so far. I punched 34 Holes - 11" ice with one battery (comes with 2 batteries and has lifetime warranty) and one hole took about 10 seconds. And, better customer service too. After a few ice fishing trips, the bungee code fastener came off. So, I used without it. But, I was too worried that I might drop the auger into the hole. Therefore, I contacted email@example.com and David sent me the brand new replacement part. The customer service is really good.

Converting my manual auger to using with a cordless drill was a great move. The adapter fit perfectly and was easy to install. Made drilling holes in ice much quicker and easier. No regrets with this purchase!
Works Great with my Older style Mora!!!
Couldn't wait to get this product in the mail. It came earlier than it was supposed to and it fit like a glove on my Mora. Screws right on and works like a champ. I bought the black adapter. No more sore arms / shoulders for me. Thanks.
This is the best attachment for using a drill with chuck

The Ice Master auger adapter is the best I've found for directly attaching hand ice augers to chucked brushless hand drills. I've tried others and they have twisted apart under the torque involved.
Works great with minimal mods

Had to enlarge bolt hole and add a stiffner plate as my auger was the folding type. After this it works great & I can drill 5 holes in the time it took to drill 1 by hand.
w 7 inch new blades its awsome.
by kb -
very pleased so far, 7 inch blades maybe alittle big but it works great with new blades on a 18 volt milwalkee.
Didn't Work for Me
I used a 19v drill and could not penetrate the ice with a new 8" blade. If you want this thing to work, you better have soft ice or a [$] drill that will kick like a mule.
Product works but set realistic goals

I used this in Three Lakes WI this weekend 2/23/08. I have a 18v QuatroPro (Black & Decker) heavy duty drill with 2 batteries. It took basically one battery to drill through 15 inches of ice. So I basically drilled 2 holes. So is that good or bad? I would say the product does what it claims to, but set some realistic expectations. For me personally this will work great early in the season, I should be able to drill 4 holes that are 8 inches deep. As the season progresses I might have to start the holes manually and the finish them with the drill. Either way the limitation is the drill, not the product. If you can plug in a drill to a snowmobile or truck then its would work better.
