The hot ticket for ice fishing on Devils Lake, hammering the perch and walleye with these jigs. They are great!
Odd looking, but effective

When a friend recommended that I use a Hali jig on an ice fishing trip last year, I did not know what he was talking about. He gave me one and told me to tip it with maggots. I immediately started catching perch, bluegills, crappies and bass in 20+ feet of water. The weight of the lure gets you back down into the strike zone quickly, and the Hali seems to attract a variety of fish.
Has week hooks

As ice fishing jigs go, these Hali's are the best I have used. However, you need to expect that you will need to replace the hooks. Sometimes sooner than expected. I recently bought 4 new Hali's, and the blue perch one pictured above only caught 5 or 6 fish before the hook broke. I do really well with these jigs on perch, bluegill, and crappies.

Hali's are the best ice jigs I have used. I have caught perch, bluegill, crappie bass, largemouth bass, and lake trout on them. I like the middle length the best.
Love the Hali

These are about the only lure I used this year and in years past. Many days it was the only thing I caught fish on. Their weight alows you to be precise in bottom placement and bite detecting. I have many different colors but my favorite go to is green black and silver.
Great Lure for Jigging Kokanees
by Spottedfins -
Order came very quickly and was complete. These jigs fall to the target depth very quickly, I ordered the smallest size for kokanees. Tipped with corn and maggots they work very well. The weak point is the chain and light hook. After a few fish and trying to quickly remove the hook and getting it back down the hole before the fast moving kokanees departed spread the hook and the chain might break. I replaced the hooks with hooks I had bought seperately. The issue I have is that these are pricely lures for their simplicity and I suggest that they come with an extra chain and hook and also be able to order replacement chains and hooks.

Great Ice Fishing lures
by Tom -
Over the last ten years of ice fishing, I have caught perch, bluegill, crappie bass, large mouth bass, and lake trout using the Hali Sukkula lures. I like the middle size jig the best, but I have been successful with all three sizes. I also like the glow perch color the best, but I have caught fish on all of the various colors tried to date. My only regret is that they do not use a steel hook, and after a while, the hook will bend and break.
Works well for everything !

Used this lure ice fishing, caught lots of fish, rainbow trout, perch, and crappie. Works great with a grub or shiner. I would recommend buying the beaded replacement hook and chain. Worked well at any depth. Love it.
Great for finicky fish

Works well when tipped with live bait such as waxy or spike, when fish are finicky

This is my go to jig when everything else fails. They are irresistible to panfish. I tip the hook with waxies or a piece of worm. They also work great for smelt and hold in the current when fishing tidal run smelt. They get down fast to reach the deep dwelling schools. Only drawback is the factory chain hook. They are very weak and I have lost a lot of fish due to chain snapping. I recommend upgrading the chain hooks to Northland Chain Dropper Hooks which can also be found on FishUsa. These are more durable.
Best smelt lure there is!

These are the best smelt and pan fish lures on market For ice fishing. Best selection of colors and pattern. Medium weight is best I think. If ice fishing invest in some good ice line.

Great little lure , use for jigging pan fish, walleye . Love this little lure.
Works in non-ice situations too!

Used the perch pattern (5/16 oz) to catch rainbows this fall in a lake where perch fry are the primary forage fish. Just cast, let it fall, and retrieve slowly with an occasional pause and reel motion. The lure wobbles as it falls and will wobble as it is reeled in..acts almost like a spoon..Was impressed that an "ice-jig" worked when cast from shore and retrieved like a spoon.
I will buy this product again

I used the hali jigs ice fishing for perch. While other applications were not working that well the hali jig continued to attract bites on a very tough bite.

up graded hook and chain to take bigger fish,Lake trout and landlocked Salmon
need some extra droppers and #8 hooks
by jugghead -
ice fishing , like the slender minnow shape , don't like that there is only 1 dropper chain , breaks if a Walleye of any size grabs it ,or doesn't hook up , because hook is so small , hook gets swallowed , by perch and takes too long to get it back or it breaks or gets bent too hell.
Perch catching machines
by Neverdraws -
These jigs are the best I've found for ice fishing for perch. I don't know what it is about the dangling chain on this bait, but the perch can't leave it alone. My only complaint is that the chain isn't as strong as it could be. After lifting one large perch from the hole, the chain broke in half. But, you can buy replacements for them. They do catch fish though.

Great lure for ice fishing, They seem to do great for perch and trout. The only thing that I don't like about them are the hooks that they come with. They are very weak. I carefully switch them out for a #12 Gamakatsu baitholder hook and the lure works great.
