I always replace the treble hooks on my spoons, spinners, and cranks when I'm fishing for steelhead and salmon. The hooks fit perfectly onto my Rapala Countdowns, Rooster Tails, and Dardevles. I almost never miss a fish and seldom have them throw the hook. I mostly catch & release and the single hook point is far less damaging to the fish.

These are perfectly good Siwash hooks with open eyes so with a pair of pliers you can add them to your salmon lures that need new hooks. They do have a shiny nickel chrome like finish to them - I wish there were options for a 100% stainless steel or even a dull galvanized zinc version for saltwater, but these will certainly do for Great Lakes use. For replacing the treble hook on wobbling plugs these hooks are often connected to the forward attachment ring with a short section of bead chain. SiwaSH is a Chinook word for a person (man) of Pacific Northwest First Nations heritage used as a complimentary noun for the very best salmon hooks used on trolling lures.
