    Now, i have competition between 5' rods spinmatic D, Okuma Celilo and Berkley cherrywood (StCroix Triumph and Avid have best performances and not part of this competition i tested them to) Ok Spinmatic D is the best distance in any weight i use on this trio, sensitivity is better than other cheap rods, quality is good no flaws. it is fast. therefore 8' i mention earlier - no use yet. If you looking for sensitivity and distance reel pais with Shimano Sedona 500, for ballance.

    I have 7' old Spinmatic, I have been impressed how it can be used in multiple applications even handling the carp for a moment or two. I have tested new 5' Spinmatic - D against Cherrywood 5' and Celilo 5'. Best in casting and sensitivity. Winner stood no chance against Triumph however.

    I bought the 66 rod to pair with an ultra light reel I had kicking around figuring it would be a spare or backup outfit. I was wrong, the rod is much more that I thought it would be. Used it at our club pond trout fishing, impressed with the action of the rod. I do have the 7 trolling rod a love it, the spinning rod didnt disappoint me either. Cant go wrong with this rod, well worth the price.

    Easily the best UL rod for the money. I have two, both have been stepped on several times, slammed into branches, hookset on snags, etc. Both are holding up just fine. I've landed fish from tiny 2 in bluegill to 10 lb buffalo on these, and everything in between. These rods handled superbly. That being said, the action is a bit softer than I'd like and it's difficult to work lures at the upper range of the lure wt specs (>1/8th oz). It's also not particularly sensitive, but at this price, I can't complain.
