I have a Daiwa QZ 750 reel and I wanted another ultralight reel. I couldn't justify the price of the QZ because this would not get used as much. So I got this QR. I was wondering if I would be able to tell the difference between the two quality wise. And I definitely can. The QZ is smoother and the drag is better. Now this doesn't mean this QR reel is junk. It isn't. It's a good reel. And I would buy one again. But if you can afford another $20, get the QZ. I feel it is worth the extra money. But if you don't want to spend that much, get the QR and you won't be disappointed.

Reel worked fine, but paint is bubbling up on the end of reel handle after less than 1 year. This is very disappointing as all of my inexpensive Shimano Sienna FE reels look brand new after years of use. I did like the push button folding handle. If the paint job lasted at least one year I may have given it 3 fish.

Love this reel for ice fishing. Purchased a few last year and had great luck with it. Hard to beat for the price.
