    I have now bought two of the 6'6" ultra lite rods. They are absolutely fantastic. Very sensitive, but have plenty of backbone for fighting bigger fish. Highly recommended

    I purchased the 11 foot model thinking it could cast tiny lures a mile for little to medium sized trout in high mountain lakes. But upon receiving the rod and wiggling it a bit, I discovered it was a perfect rod for light lures and 4-15 pound salmon and steelhead fishing in the 3rd largest USA river that drains into the Pacific Ocean. It's got so much backbone that I could kill little and medium sized trout by just shaking it at them!

    I purchased this rod primarily for trout fishing with 2lb mono using micro jigs under floats. My first impression of this rod was Wow! The fit and finish is excellent, very pretty rod, guide spacing is perfect with no line bridging, the cork is of good quality, the action is indeed a fast bending from the center of the rod to the tip with fast recovery after flexing, even though I do prefer a medium or moderate in an ultralight this rod didn’t disappoint at all! It’s a very lightweight rod and balances very well with my shimano Sedona 500. So far I’ve managed to catch quite a few trout ranging from 12” to 18” and lots of suckers in the 14” to 16” range, an extremely sensitive rod with plenty of backbone for larger fish than I’ve caught. If your looking for a whippy ultralight I’d say this isn’t the one but it’s definitely an ultralight despite the fast action. I’ve got several St Croix spinning rods and the overall build quality, guides number of guides and definitely guide spacing are far better than any St Croix I own, they are a high quality rod at an good price! I’m looking to purchase the 6’ UL model.

    I have recently purchased this 7 foot Presso Rod and I paired it up with a Diawa 1000 ultra light spinning reel . I have only used it twice. It is a really fun Rod. You can feel every bump. I like the 9 guides . The ultra lite is just what I was looking for without breaking the bank. priced right. I was hoping for a one piece. However, the 2 piece seems to be working ok. In the product discerption it would be nice to know the exact weight of just the rod. Leaving on vacation with it next week . I will definitely put it to the test.
