The Cortland 444 Classic Peach Fly Line gives freshwater fly anglers a proven floating line for delicate dry fly presentations, controlled roll casts, dead-drifted nymph rigs, and swinging or stripping small streamers across trout, salmon, steelhead, carp, bass, panfish, and grayling water. This long-trusted classic pairs durability with an ultra supple feel and a smooth glass surface that helps the line shoot cleanly while precision taper designs turn over leaders softly for accurate, natural presentations. A braided nylon multifilament core supports easy casting in warm and cold freshwater conditions, and the high-floating construction keeps mends, drifts, and line control manageable when you are covering riffles, seams, and gentle tailouts. Choose the weight forward profile for versatile all-around casting or the double taper profile for refined close-range presentations, spool it up, and fish confidently with a fly line that has earned its place as an industry standard for more than 50 years.

Cortland has never let me down
I have used the 444 for several years on the Great Lakes tribs for steelhead and Kings. The line performs as well as more expensive lines and lasts for many seasons if properly cleaned and cared for.
