This is the first lure I ever used for catching trout. That was over 30 years ago. Since then I've used it to catch all kinds of fish in freshwater. It's one great lure.

You only need Two lures for Trout. C P Swing #1, Thomas E Spin a close second. The E Spin is a little Heaver and runs a little deeper, which can mean snagging the bottom in shallow streams.

I have been using C. P. Swing Spinners for over 40 years. I have caught Trout, Steehead, Bluegills, Crappies, Channel Cats, Northern Pike, Bass, Muskies, White Bass, Smallmouths and Walleyes on these. A #3 or a #4 tipped With a minnow is deadly for Walleye and Northerns. I like casting these around the break walls at Erie for Smallmouths.
