Amish Outfitters Buggy Bag Trolling Bag sea anchor (or "sock") slows the boat's drift rate while trolling or drifting. Two boat drift socks, one on each corner of the boat, can be used to help with steering. It is advised to use a line of at least 3/8" thickness connecting the boat to both the front and the rear of the bag, adjusting the rear line to ensure the sea anchor does not swing under the boat and interfere with the prop, rudder, or outdrive.
| Boat Length (ft.) | Size |
| 12 - 19 feet | 15 or 18 inch |
| 20 - 24 feet | 22 inch |
| 24 - 30 feet | 28 inch |
