steelheading with Blackbird swivels

by fishmonger -

I use a furled leader and tie the Blackbird swivel on the tapered end. I save a lot of leader and tippet material doing this.

by Trout Bum -

Had swivel break on a snag.(12lb main line didn't break). Swivel broke at the barrel. Could just have been the a bad one, who knows?

micro swivel review

by Chromechaser -

I use these swivels when connecting main line to my leader while I am float fishing for salmon/steelhead or whatever. Anyone who fishes steelhead in clear water knows that the stealthy you are the more fish you will catch. These swivels are the smallest I have found and have never once been the cause of a lost fish for me, and that includes some very large salmon. I will never tie a mono to mono knot again as long as these swivels are around.

GREAT; tiny , strong, swivels

by jonesy -

Great little swivels for attaching a leader to your main line. So small, and nothing shiny to spook steelhead and trout.

Breakage Problem

by REG

Have had problems with breakage. Primarily with snags, but did have one come apart when playing fish. Very small size and hard to handle with cold fingers or with dusk approaching. Too bad they do not market the one size larger.

No more line twist and wasted time.

by Chrome Seeker -

A must for float fishing at the main line to leader and at the tippet as well. Eliminates line twist . Strong like Bull

Small but strong

by Fry Guy -

This is a good strong product. I use them mostly for steelhead and they work perfectly for me! I will typically pull in 4 to 8 pound fish and have yet to loose my swivel.

small size, great quality

by Mike -

These swivels are my top choice for river fishing steelhead and salmon, very small but very strong. I have never had one fail, up to 30 lb salmon on 12 lb test line. They are also good for all around trout fishing, or anywhere that you need a low profile swivel.

These swivels can handle Steelhead!

by Troutcraze -

I use these swivels at the end of my base leaders and tie the tippet to it. Keeps the twist out and makes tippet changes easier. They are really super strong for their tiny size.
