I have tried just about every hook there is for float fishing for steelhead. I have stopped, and use these hooks exclusively now. They are strong but not too strong, so you can still bend them out in some cases. A great hook at a great price. I use 8s and 10s for spawn bags.

These are the hooks I use exclusively when drifting spawn sacks for Steelies. Combination of strength, sharpness, and being a very thin hook, make them my only choice. The number 8 or 10 are great for steelhead. These hooks are very "sticky" and the hookset is almost automatic with basic rod bend pressure.
