I use these in all sizes for any application that calls for a sharp hook; Drop Shot, live bait (eggs sacs, minnows, skein, worms, crayfish, etc), and they are the best hook for to tie egg flies for salmon and steelhead.

Love the gap, strength of wire, and diameter of the wire. I tie a lot of flies with them. They rip lips!

I usually use Kamasan hooks, which I find to be fantastic hooks. I bought some of these Blackbird hooks in sizes 12 and 14 for steelhead fishing and I was very impressed with them They are not quite as sharp as the Kamasan hooks, but they did not let me down on steelhead up to 14 pounds on my last trip.
