My go-to trout bait
by Ninefingers -
I love me some Powerbait. It always seems to produce when other baits don't. An assortment of colors is a must because you can never tell what will be the hot color on any given day. It also works well for ice fishing with some minor adjustments to your rig. I make my leader about 6 inches longer than normal and put a small split shot on my leader about 6" down from my slip sinker to get a little separation between my leader and my drop line when the Powerbait floats. The only beef that I have with Powerbait is the texture of the dough isn't very consistent between colors. Salmon Egg Peach tends to have a creamy texture while Salmon Egg Red tends to be more rubbery, as an example.

This floating bait is a must for those of us who enjoy fishing for trout. The garlic formula works very well when the waters are murky. this is one of the baits that has never let me down.the only downside to this bait is that there is not enough of it. I would never go fishing without a jar of garlic scented bait.

The Garlic and Salmon Egg seem to work great. I always start off with these baits and seem to have great success. Add a little garlic scent and you will catch trout.

Just roll up a ball of powerbait big enough to cover a #12 or #14 hook and let it float 12 to 14 inches off the bottom.
Salmon Peach Glitter
by Fishin Fool -
Simply the best for stocked trout yet. I use several other products; salmon eggs, meal worms, garden worms, powerbait 3" worms ,swimbaits 1" ,and several versions of powerbait, but always use this more than any other bait. Anything with the salmon egg scent will work well but the salmon peach with glitter out fishes them all. I have even caught smallmouth and other species of fish with it as well. PS The rainbow with salmon egg scent is my second choice.
The Best Power Bait On The Market
by fishin2much -
Berkely out did them selves with the new Garlic scent PowerBait. My last four (4) trout tournaments, I've placed sixth at the Sports Chalet Tournament, fifth at the Masters, seventh at the Western Outdoor News Tournament and recently limited out at Corona Lakes by 8:30a.m. I used to use a blown up nightcrawler with power egg but the chartruese, rainbow and yellow garlic scented PowerBait is guaranteed to catch more quality fish than anything out on the market.
Lake and pond planters love this stuff.

This is a proven trout producer in lakes and ponds with planted trout. They love this stuff! Several times I have been the only person catching fish while others around me tried all different colors of Powerbait. I wouldn't go fishing without this.
Some of the best bait I have used
by LDF -
I have used power bait for years on stocked trout and although it doesn't perform some times it produces and produces well most of the time. A person just needs to figure out the best way of the many ways of presenting the bait for the particular situation that they are in. I usually catch my limit of eight trout in the state I live in every time I go and power bait has been one of the major players in my bag of tricks. Color, depth and presentation matters.
Great for trout on lakes!
by Old fisherman -
We use the rainbow glitter garlic, the green garlic glitter, and sometimes the pink glitter when fishing for trout. The fish usually like one of the above, if not all. It is best used on lakes from shore or boat. While we cast it on the rivers and streams we fish, rough water sometimes knocks the bait off. On our last trip, we caught several two pounders using the bait. It is easy to mold a small dab on the hook and cast. The glitter versions seem to work better for us, than the plain ones.
I would buy this product again!

Berkley's floating Powerbait is one of the best baits I have used for catching trout. It is easy to use, stays on the hook and Trout really love it. I highly recommend this product to anyone who goes trout fishing.

Use from shore or boat in lakes, also in streams.
great success with the garlic scent
by Trout -
Doesn't stick together like the other Berkley power baits to the hook. This could be due to the glitter mixed into the product.
Power Bait Works
by Love2Fish -
Works great, keep changing colors until you find what works. Once you get bites stick with it. Add a meal worm for extra action. Float a foot off bottom.
