    I have had some success using the honey worm with my trout magnet. I have had the best success with the clear worms. When I was getting no results with the trout magnet alone a honey worm helped.

    I use the honey worm most of the time on a trout magnet so that it looks like a meal worm and it has been effective for me at times and others nothing and I have used it simply as worm on a hook so to speak and it has been moderately effective. I would recommend them for trout.

    Most of my trout fishing is done with small slip floats and butter worms in streams/rivers. Some stocked, some wild and it's hard to believe but these are just as good as live bait. I'm not a huge fan of the actual dough powerbait ( too messy for me and gut hooked fish) but no denying it's effectiveness. These are better.
