Haven't tried the rod yet but will soon. I'm thinking it will be great in my boat of course but now that the water is low and I do much quick fishing off shore I am expecting this baby to get me out 100 feet considering its length! I bought the 8' 6" and am looking forward to using it!

These rods are ideal for running small to midsize crankbaits. Perfect action for visibility of your cranks movement and perfect fish fighting action. I run these on many smaller lakes that range down to 20 ft feet max and usually run a mix of walleyes from 12-20. These are ideal for these fish. Im not sure I would think they were ideal if I were running deep husky jerk for large walleyes or cold water species though. Overall they are exactly what I needed for the fishing I do most often.

I got the 8,6medium-8-12lb for use with a daiwa 17 linecounter reel and tuff line micro lead with 8-12lb leader and running light flutter spoons on local reservoirs. This would be my short three to four color set,up. Well I ended up with a battle with a couple of nice browns my first time out one was a male about 6lbs and this rod handled the fight better than I expected. I just purchased from fishusa the 10-20lb mh,for a daiwa 27lc,which will have 7colors of micro lead on it for my deeper setup. If anyone is considering fishing in a similar way as myself I would highly recommend these two rods for what I have described myself using them for. And fishusa should be the place for your purchase.
