Berkley Gulp! Alive! Minnows provide more attractant and better action than other minnows on the market. They feature a realistic profile and split tail to entice and trigger strikes from panfish and trout. These minnows are packaged in Berkley's "Magic Gravy" that enables you to recharge your baits by putting them back into the jar. With a natural presentation in action, scent, and taste, the Gulp! Alive! Minnows easily replace the real thing for increased durability and longer lasting results. These baits absorb 20% more Gulp! scent and attractant, making them even more effective. They also have a 34% better swimming action than original Gulp!

  • Replaces live minnows for better durability and long lasting results
  • Expand your strike zone with 400 times more scent dispersion than plastic baits

Great for all of the above fish listed. I have caught trout over 4lbs with these and also walleye over 6lbs.If you don't catch fish with these you need to find another recreational sport. Use 2 1/2 in. Black Shad and Smelt for best results. In streams cast up and across the stream using small twitches while reeling in just off the bottom and keep your tip high. Guaranteed results early in the season, April thru May. In lakes use around rock beds and jetties using variable jerks and slow retrieves. Good luck.

Good thing to put on a jig head - lots of fish attracting scent!

This is one of the two kinds of Berkeley soft minnow bait type, the other is the PowerBait minnow. The Gulp minnow has a lower soft plastic content, is wetter and is made up of more ground up fishy organic matter rich in scent - these shouldn't be put on hooks in advance as their salty juice will rust out hooks and generally stink up your tackle box, and they dry up and shrivel unless submerged in the Gulp juice. The PowerBait minnow has a higher soft plastic content , is dryer and the scent is internal - these can be put on your hooks in advance. Both (Gulp and PowerBait) are excellent, Gulp being used more like live bait. The fish attracting quality of Gulp is outstanding - very close to having a live or dead minnow on your presentation. I do wish they would improve the seals on the containers as they leak and stink up everything unless double bagged. Nevertheless, excellent for both ice fishing and open water.

I use the emerald shiners with a Mepps Aglia or Blue Fox spinner for early season trout.

I have been using the 1" minnow for about 3 years now. The crappie & big gills just eat this thing up. Have been using natural colors and decided to try the chartreuse shad this year. Wow. They seem to like it better than the others, particularly in stained water. It gets chewed up pretty good but I can usually get a dozen fish off one bait.
