    Better than live bait!

Better than live bait. You never have to worry about the water being too hot, or that their getting enough oxygen. They can be fished over and over fish after fish.

After a few stories I heard & read, I figured I'll give it a try for FLUKE fishing. Fished the south shore of Long Island, NY in ocean just east of the Jones Inlet. We drifted in water from 40-25 ft. This was June 20th, 2008. My buddy used natural baits. Squid strips, spearing, Peruvian spearing (very large) and teasers, buck-tails, fluke mines etc. ALL I USED WAS EITHER A PINK OR PEARL WHITE 3" swimming minnow attached to a white buck-tail or Spro jig. I NEVER USED BAIT. I do not exaggerate in saying that I caught 4-5 fluke to every one of his. We caught easily 50-100 fluke that day (my friend says more). I was fishing and getting hits every time I dropped it to the bottom. I lost maybe 20-30 missing a hook set. ABSOLUTELY ASTOUNDING RESULTS. I also noted he was getting hit by skates, dog-fish, and sea robins. I had a few sea-robins but no other pest fish. Why? I have no idea. Gotta try some other stuff by GULP. By the way, we call it fishing with gummie bears, LOL.
