They look great out of the package but when jigging/skipping them and allowing them to fall they constantly tangle for me. The action looks great but the tangling issue made them impossible to give the action i wanted to give. Tried adding heavier (stiffer) leader and that didn't help, tried all the different positions to tie off - same result. Maybe these are meant for a steady retrieve?

I have caught salmon using the 1/2 oz. V Rod blade, and thought the 3/4 oz. would probably work better yet. I'm not disappointed in the lure, but disappointed in my choice. The 3/4 oz. is too heavy for the river I fish. I have to retrieve it so fast to keep it off the bottom. Salmon prefer a little slower presentation, so I will purchase several 1/2 oz. now.
