This is a great product. The spoon is a great option for steelhead. I would change the hooks. They do not last long, bend, and break. I have lost several fish with the hooks on large fish. However. There is no better spoon for steelhead! It casts a mile and flutters perfectly in the water.

Ive been an avid fisherman all my life. I fish for everything but my main species would be brook trout and walleye. Truthfully, if i could only have 1 lure in my tackle box it would without a doubt be a Little Cleo. It catches all species of fish. And works better then most. I mainly use the 1/8th ounce for inland brook trout.My go to color has always been blue/green and silver then plain silver, copper and gold. After reading some of these reviews I see everybody seems to have there favorite. Im surprised on how many people like the fire tiger and other colorful options. I guess ill have to expand my selection. This is the only lure i would write such a review. This lure works. Casting or jigging. I have some older made in USA cleos and unfortunately they seem to have been built better in the past. Now made in China the shape is a little different. And the weight is a little lighter regardless of which weight one u have. Not FISHUSA'S fault. But bottom line is they still work and work great!! Everyone needs a selection of Little Cleo's in there tackle box. You would be crazy not too! Lastly FISHUSA has a great selection of all weights colors and sizes. And are priced fairly. Nice to see a business not trying to gouge there customer. Thats what gets businesses repeat business and referrals. I hope they continue to do so. Thanks FISHUSA

Another technique frequently used when fishing a Little Cleo is using a retrieve that utilizes the pause and stop method to let the bait flutter and appear as a fat baitfish acting in an erratic, confused manner. Depending on the spoon weight chosen, you can fish in deep ponds, lakes, or small streams and creeks. With multiple weights ranging from 1/16 oz. to 1 1/4 oz., these spoons can work in almost any fishing scenario. A lighter line from 2 - 4 lbs. works for the smaller sizes, while a 10 -14 lb. line works for the bigger sizes on light to medium spinning, spincasting, and baitcasting reels.

What species can I target with an Acme Little Cleo Spoon?

Acme Tackle Little Cleo Spoons target various gamefish throughout North America. Anglers catch bass, salmon, and steelhead using these spoons. For trout, sizes from 1/16 - 1/3 oz. are a great choice, while 1/3 - 3/4 oz. spoons are better suited for salmon and steelhead. Larger sizes attract pike and muskies. With multiple weights and colors, experimenting with what gets the bite that day is easy.

How should I rig the Acme Little Cleo Spoon?

All Acme Little Cleo Spoons come with a split ring at the top loop and a split ring with a treble at the bottom. You can tie directly to the lure with the split ring up the top, although a swivel snap is more commonly used when rigging. The swivel allows fewer line twists so that the lure presents more naturally and makes it much easier to swap out spoons during fishing without re-tie. The other advantage you have with Acme Little Cleo Spoons is the capability to exchange the treble with single hooks. Depending on area and fishing regulations, sometimes a single hook is required, and Little Cleos can adapt to such rules with just a change of hooks.
