ACME Tackle Little Cleo Spoon
Acme Little Cleo Spoons are very versatile, taking various species of gamefish around the world. Acme Little Cleo Spoons are available in a wide variety of sizes and colors suitable for use on a variety of gamefish, ranging from trout and panfish to stripers, pike, and muskie. The unique hump-backed shape of the Little Cleo results in a seductive, wiggling action as the lure is drawn through the water. The illusion created is one of a baitfish, acting in an erratic, confused manner. This triggers the predatory nature of the gamefish to strike. This appeal to fish explains Little Cleo's fantastic success as the one lure that takes all gamefish.

can't go wrong

great for trout, salmon, or any other cold water species.
Nickel or gold Little Cleos are great.

I fish Lake Oconee, located in Georgia between Atlanta and Augusta. The Nickel and sometimes the gold Little Cleo 1/3 and 2/5 oz. spoons are my go-to lures when I'm trolling or jigging for White Bass, Hybrids. Sometimes they'll even pick up a largemouth or two. Great lures.
Trout and salmon
by Sixteenmilecreek -
I am a bit reluctant to tell you a cleo spoon is a killer for Great Lakes trout and salmon, but it really is no secret. The trout and salmon fall for it every year! They also work well in streams under certain conditions.

A proven fish catcher for me. Cast out with a medium retrieve. One of my go to lures for trout, seems to catch fish when nothing else will, I keep a good selection of colors in the tackle box.
Salmon / Rainbow / Brown / Atlantic slayer
by Saugeen Drifter -
I use these spoons extensively for late fall and early spring salmonoids. They are durable and I have caught a pile of fish on them. When trolling or casting make sure the action on them has a pumping action. If they flip flop back and forth the retrieve is too slow, if it spins it is too fast. A pumping action side to side turns on any fish. I have caught perch, pike, bass, all species of salmon, catfish, carp on these spoons. The fish can't leave them alone. One afternoon over a 1.5 hr stint I landed over 20 spring coho and who knows how many more got off. This is an A1 lure....
They Really Work !
by AK Fisherman -
The Little Cleo really does work. I'm an assistant guide in AK. We use the little Cleo's with a single hook due to regulations on the rivers we fish. This little giant of a lure nails Kings & Silvers!

They Just Plain Work
by YOLO -
I own dozens of these in various colors and sizes and have caught many, many steelhead on them over the past 30 years. I even still have some of the "Wiggle Lures" that had the hula girl etched into the back of the spoon. You old timers know what I'm talking about!!! I do change out the hooks for the next larger size though.

Work great for ice fishing too!

Simply the most productive trout lure ever. Works on rainbows, browns and brooks for sure. Try plain nickel and plain gold first and then branch out for your specific needs. My tackle box has 30 of these in it right now if it has one. 1/3 oz is my standard trout size.

Could use smaller trebles fo steelhead

Been using Cleo's for years up on Lake Ontario for trout. Best spoon on the market.
Fishing Big Water with thousands of smaller lakes/ Lake of the Woods / Ontario ,Nestor Falls area..
2/5 Cleo with Orange and Gold front and Gold back simply out performed all other jigging type baits..fluttered them in shallower starting of the weeds waters..casting into 15 ft of water raised both eyes and some super healthy pike..three hybred Muskie's were boated and released as well..provided meals when conditions were somewhat worse then a nightmare..35 mph winds were challenging.. I need to stock up in such a big way with the 2/5 orange/gold with gold back..just having trouble finding them..great bait for everything..perch, crappie, walleye, pike, muskie , bass , salmon and trout..have caught all of on little cleo..fantastic bait that takes a beating and keeps on keeping on..

I dont know where to begin...this is an amazing spoon. The tiny sizes (1/8 and 1/6oz) i use for brook trout and i have gotten panfish and even creek chub on them! Truly a fun little spoon in the summer to just have fun with catching whatever bites in ypur local creek. For bigger fish like bass and steelhead in small rivers ill throw the classic 1/4 oz! If you live on the great lakes ill chuck 2/5 oz off piers for fall amd early spring steelhead and browns. Come fall when salmon are coming in ill chuck the 3/4 oz. Pick the size based on what you are fishing for and you wont be let down!
Exaggerated tumbling action
by Basskat -
I fish the 3/4oz size exclusively in Lake Erie and the Upper Niagara River. Cleo's are second to none when casting for trout and salmon. The tumbling action not just from the retrieve but especially by the natural current gives the flash and look of bait fish very well. My spoon box is my favorite box come fall!!! And u can't beat FishUSA for selection and prices!
Acme Little Cleo soon

Acme Little Cleo spoon it is very good bait. I fish for a lot of beautiful pike, there are also yellow perches. I on can definitely recommend them to anglers !
Unique spoon for when you need a slower presentation
by iljFISH -
It is certainly worth having a selection of these in different colours and sizes. Fish hit it like crazy. This spoon has a wicked bend in it creating a wide wobble with a definite thump to it - it loses its attraction and starts to spin at anything faster than a slow-moderate retrieve rate, so Little Cleos are definitely for slowish applications. This lure in the half and three quarter ounce sizes is a preferred selection for shore and pier fishing for Great Lakes salmon, steelhead and browns. The one eighth ounce size is good for trout in lakes and also ice fishing.
