The Avet MXL MC Raptor Plus Two-Speed Lever Drag Conventional Reel gives saltwater and Great Lakes anglers wider-spool capacity, dual-drag stopping power, two-speed cranking control, and added casting performance for live bait fishing, trolling, jigging, casting plugs, and bottom fishing for tuna, mahi, striped bass, grouper, snapper, salmon, lake trout, and other hard-fighting fish. Available in left- or right-hand retrieve, the MXL MC Raptor Plus pairs precision-machined 6061 T-6 marine-grade aluminum with stainless steel components, precision-machined stainless steel gears, and an anodized finish for corrosion resistance around saltwater, spray, and heavy boat use.

Its re-designed true one-piece frame improves strength-to-weight performance, while Avet’s patented dual carbon fiber drag system and reliable Avedrag dry carbon fiber drags provide smooth stopping power and wear resistance under heavy pressure. The powerful lever drag system with adjustable strike pre-set, ratcheting Glide Plate, and Strike Stop Button gives anglers controlled drag changes during long fights. Magic Cast uses an adjustable magnetic anti-backlash cast control system based on Lenz Law to help prevent line overrun and birds nests while casting live bait rigs, irons, and plugs. The patented silent dog and gear anti-reverse reduces handle back-play, while the re-designed loud alarm clicker, offset machined handle arm, large soft-touch handle knob, and 9 shielded stainless steel ball bearings support smooth, steady retrieves when fish dig deep.
