Product Details

The Avet SXJ MC G2 Lever Drag Conventional Reel gives saltwater anglers compact casting control, smooth drag pressure, and strong cranking stability for targeting tuna, striped bass, dorado, yellowtail, bottom fish, and other hard-pulling species. This narrow conventional reel pairs Avet’s patented M.C. Magic Cast adjustable magnetic anti-backlash system with Lenz Law control to help reduce overruns and bird nests when casting live bait, jigs, or surface irons. Precision-machined 6061 T-6 marine-grade aluminum and stainless steel components, along with an anodized finish, help the reel handle harsh saltwater environments while maintaining a lightweight feel for long days on the rail or casting deck.

The redesigned true one-piece frame improves strength and alignment while reducing flex under heavy drag pressure. A powerful lever drag system with adjustable strike pre-set works alongside reliable Avedrag dry carbon fiber drag washers for smooth stopping power and consistent wear resistance. Precision-machined stainless steel gears, 8 stainless steel ball bearings, and a redesigned silent dog and gear anti-reverse system with increased engagement teeth help reduce handle back-play for tighter, more controlled hooksets. An offset machined handle arm minimizes cranking wobble, while the large soft-touch handle knob and redesigned loud alarm clicker round out a reel that stays comfortable and responsive during live bait drifts, yo-yo jigging, and offshore trolling applications.
