Available with or without drag plate and in left- or right-hand retrieve models, the MXJ MC G2 pairs a precision-machined 6061 T-6 marine-grade aluminum frame with stainless steel components, stainless steel gears, and an anodized finish for added protection in harsh fishing environments. Its re-designed true one-piece frame improves strength-to-weight performance while helping keep the reel rigid under heavy drag pressure and long fights.

The powerful lever drag system with adjustable strike pre-set gives anglers quick, repeatable drag adjustments during a fight, while reliable Avedrag dry carbon fiber drags provide smooth stopping power and long-term wear resistance. The Magic Cast adjustable magnetic anti-backlash cast control system uses Lenz Law to help prevent line overrun and birds nests during casting, giving anglers more control when throwing live bait rigs, irons, and plugs.
