The Avet HXJ MC Raptor Plus Two-Speed Lever Drag Conventional Reel gives offshore anglers a heavy-duty narrow-frame reel with powerful drag output and adjustable cast control for large tuna, wahoo, amberjack, grouper, and other hard-fighting saltwater fish. Made in the USA, the HXJ MC Raptor Plus features Avet’s Magic Cast Control System, which uses adjustable magnetic anti-backlash control to help reduce line overrun and bird nests during casting, live baiting, and spool drops. Its patented dual-disc carbon fiber drag system produces 40 lb. of drag at strike and 50 lb. at full, giving anglers the stopping power needed for deep runs and high-pressure fights offshore.
Precision-machined 6061 T-6 marine-grade aluminum and stainless steel components give the HXJ MC Raptor Plus excellent strength with a balanced weight profile for all-day use. Rounded side plates and an optimized frame shape improve comfort while making the spool easier to thumb during freespool, helping anglers control bait presentation and descent speed. Large soft-touch power handles reduce centerline profile and cranking wobble for a steadier retrieve under heavy drag loads.
