The Accurate Valiant 2 Two-Speed Lever Drag Conventional Reel delivers serious power without weighing down an offshore setup. Accurate machines its curved CVX Technology frame from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, creating a lightweight, rigid platform for long days of casting live bait, dropping jigs, and working the rail for tuna, yellowtail, amberjack, grouper, and other hard-pulling saltwater species. Xtreme Cast Control (XCT) regulates spool speed to extend casts and reduce backlashes on all models except the 800, 800N, and 1000. The centrifugal casting system engages once the spool starts moving to maintain controlled line flow. A sleeved spool further reduces friction for strong free-spool performance.

Inside, precision-cut 17-4 stainless steel gears and gear shaft handle heavy loads, while the DirecShift Instagage System delivers immediate engagement when shifting in and out of gear. Six ABEC-5 stainless steel bearings promote smooth operation, and a stainless steel anti-reverse bearing prevents backplay as fish load the rod. The power arm handle adds torque and leverage when low gear engages against a stubborn fish, while Accurate's TwinDrag system applies balanced drag pressure to both sides of the spool. A detent in the drag cam ahead of free spool helps prevent an accidental drop in pressure during a fight, and a push-button stop before full drag gives anglers an added safeguard when increasing pressure on a powerful fish.
