When tuna crash bait off the stern or yellowtail push just beyond easy casting range, the Accurate Valiant 2 Lever Drag Conventional Reel gives offshore anglers the casting control and cranking power to put a bait where it needs to go and stay connected once a fish eats. Xtreme Cast Control regulates spool speed for long, smooth casts while helping reduce backlashes, and the centrifugal casting system engages as the spool gains speed for added control and accuracy. Accurate's curved CVX Technology frame uses 6061 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum to combine strength with a lightweight, comfortable feel during long days casting live bait, jigs, and other offshore presentations.

Inside, precision-cut 17-4 stainless steel gears and gear shaft handle heavy loads, while six Class ABEC-5 stainless steel bearings keep operation smooth. A stainless steel anti-reverse bearing limits backplay when powerful gamefish turn and run, and the power arm handle adds torque and leverage during prolonged fights. The sleeved spool reduces friction for improved free-spool performance, while a detent in the drag cam before free spool helps prevent accidental slips during a fight. A push-button stop before full drag provides another safeguard when increasing pressure, and the DirecShift Instagage System gives anglers immediate, seamless engagement in and out of gear. Combined with a fast 6.1:1 gear ratio, the Valiant 2 provides the responsiveness needed for tuna, yellowtail, dorado, and other hard-pulling saltwater species.
