The Daiwa Saltist MQ Spinning Reel delivers a powerful combination of strength, precision, and water resistance for anglers targeting saltwater species with confidence. Its Monocoque (MQ) body eliminates the traditional two-piece frame, using a one-piece aluminum shell with an engine plate that increases rigidity and water sealing while allowing a larger drive gear to be housed inside. Inside, Daiwa’s Tough Digigear provides digitally optimized, machine-cut gearing for consistent torque and long-term durability. The Air Rotor system reduces weight while improving balance and sensitivity, while the hollow tubular Air Bail adds strength without bulk, guiding the line cleanly to the roller with minimal resistance. The 6+1 bearing system ensures fluid rotation, and the Automatic Tournament Drag (ATD) system delivers smooth, responsive pressure with reduced startup inertia for better control under load. From surfcasting to jigging structure, the Saltist MQ is built to perform across a wide range of saltwater tactics.
