The Daiwa Saltiga G spinning reel delivers the power, control, and durability anglers demand when targeting large predators in unforgiving saltwater environments. Built around Daiwa’s full metal Monocoque (MQ) aluminum body, the Saltiga G houses an oversized machine cut G1 duralumin tough digigear for elevated torque and gear stability under load. Its redesigned airdrive rotor reduces rotational inertia for smoother winding, while the airdrive shaft eliminates gear to shaft contact, creating seamless power transfer and nearly silent operation. Magsealed main shaft and bearing systems keep water and grit out, preserving internal function over time and eliminating the friction of traditional rubber seals. With model specific airdrive bail diameters—2.4 mm on 4000 and 5000 sizes, 3.0 mm on the 6000 size—the reel balances sensitivity and strength. The 6.2:1 gear ratio lets anglers recover line quickly when fighting fast moving predators, and the reel’s bearing system of 2MBB + 7CRBB + 3BB + 1 ensures long lasting, high performance rotation for big game pursuits in harsh saltwater environments. Whether you're jigging deep structure or battling pelagics near the surface, the Saltiga G gives you the mechanical advantage to stay in control from hookup to landing.
