          This is a really nice reel for such a low cost. But be careful which model you get. I purchased the 2500 model, which has a very low line capacity. It is probably fine for small trout and pan fish. But if you are going after bass, catfish, or pike, you will need a larger model. I would recommend the 4000 or 5000 model.

          I did not pay close enough attention to the specs on the 2500 series reel before purchasing it. I basically skimmed over the line capacity specs - it doesn't hold nearly as much line as my other older Daiwa 2500 reels, or even the 2000 reels for that matter. The second detail I missed was it doesn't have an anti-reverse like all my other Daiwa spinning reels do. Both oversights totally my fault, just a word of caution to those considering this specific reel. I'll be looking for another Daiwa.
