The Avet MXL MC Raptor Two-Speed Lever Drag Conventional Reel gives saltwater and Great Lakes anglers a wider-spool reel with added drag power, two-speed control, and casting performance for live bait fishing, trolling, jigging, casting plugs, and bottom fishing for tuna, mahi, striped bass, grouper, snapper, salmon, lake trout, and other hard-fighting fish. Available in left- or right-hand retrieve, the MXL MC Raptor includes a standard Glide Plate and pairs precision-machined 6061 T-6 marine-grade aluminum with stainless steel components, precision-machined stainless steel gears, and an anodized finish for corrosion resistance around saltwater, spray, and heavy boat use.

Its re-designed true one-piece frame improves strength-to-weight performance, while Avet’s patented dual carbon fiber drag system and reliable Avedrag dry carbon fiber drags provide smooth stopping power and wear resistance under heavy pressure. Two-speed gearing lets anglers shift from fast line pickup to low-gear torque when fish dig deep, and the lever drag system with adjustable strike pre-set, ratcheting Glide Plate, and Strike Stop Button gives precise control during long fights. Magic Cast uses an adjustable magnetic anti-backlash cast control system based on Lenz Law to help prevent line overrun and birds nests while casting live bait rigs, irons, and plugs. Avet’s patented silent dog and gear anti-reverse reduces handle back-play, while the loud alarm clicker, offset machined handle arm, large soft-touch handle knob, and 9 shielded stainless steel ball bearings support smooth, steady retrieves.
