The Avet MXL G2 Two-Speed Lever Drag Conventional Reel gives saltwater and Great Lakes anglers a wider-spool reel with fast line pickup, low-gear cranking power, and smooth drag control for live bait fishing, trolling, jigging, and bottom fishing for striped bass, salmon, lake trout, tuna, mahi, grouper, snapper, and other hard-fighting fish. Available in left- or right-hand retrieve with or without Glide Plate, the MXL G2 Two-Speed pairs precision-machined 6061 T-6 marine-grade aluminum with stainless steel components, precision-machined stainless steel gears, and an anodized finish for corrosion resistance around spray, salt, and long days on the boat.

Its re-designed true one-piece frame improves strength-to-weight performance, while the powerful lever drag system with adjustable strike pre-set gives anglers repeatable drag control during the fight. Two-speed gearing lets you move from faster retrieves to low-gear torque when fish dig deep, and reliable Avedrag dry carbon fiber drags provide smooth stopping power and wear resistance. Avet’s patented silent dog and gear anti-reverse system uses more engagement teeth to reduce handle back-play, while the re-designed loud alarm clicker, offset machined handle arm, large soft-touch handle knob, and 8 ball bearings round out a dependable reel for rod holders, rail work, and hands-on presentations.
