The Avet MXJ G2 Two-Speed Lever Drag Conventional Reel gives saltwater anglers compact power with high and low gear control for live bait fishing, jigging, trolling, and bottom fishing for striped bass, salmon, lake trout, tuna, mahi, grouper, snapper, and other hard-pulling species. Available with or without glide plate and in left- or right-hand retrieve, the MXJ G2 Two-Speed pairs precision-machined 6061 T-6 marine-grade aluminum with stainless steel components, stainless steel gears, and an anodized finish for corrosion resistance around saltwater, spray, and long runs offshore.

Its redesigned true one-piece frame improves strength-to-weight performance, while the powerful lever-drag system with adjustable strike preset helps anglers make controlled drag changes during a fight. The two-speed gearing lets you switch from faster line pickup to low-gear cranking power when a fish digs deep, and reliable Avedrag dry carbon-fiber drags deliver smooth stopping power and wear resistance. Avet’s patented silent dog and gear anti-reverse system uses additional engagement teeth to reduce handle back-play, while the loud alarm clicker, offset machined handle arm, large soft-touch handle knob, and 8 ball bearings support dependable control from the rod holder to the rail.
