Available with or without glide plate and in left- or right-hand retrieve, the MXJ G2 Two-Speed pairs precision-machined 6061 T-6 marine-grade aluminum with stainless steel components, stainless steel gears, and an anodized finish for corrosion resistance around saltwater, spray, and long runs offshore.

Its redesigned true one-piece frame improves strength-to-weight performance, while the powerful lever-drag system with adjustable strike preset helps anglers make controlled drag changes during a fight. The two-speed gearing lets you switch from faster line pickup to low-gear cranking power when a fish digs deep, and reliable Avedrag dry carbon-fiber drags deliver smooth stopping power and wear resistance. Avet’s patented silent dog and gear anti-reverse system uses additional engagement teeth to reduce handle back-play, while the loud alarm clicker, offset machined handle arm, large soft-touch handle knob, and 8 ball bearings support dependable control from the rod holder to the rail.
