The Avet HXJ Raptor Three-Speed Lever Drag Conventional Reel gives saltwater anglers a narrow, American-made reel with three distinct retrieve speeds for jigging, live baiting, and pulling stubborn fish off the bottom. Its patented 3-speed transmission lets anglers shift from a fast retrieve for vertical jigs, to a mid-speed gear for steady pressure, to a low gear with heavy cranking power for tuna, amberjack, grouper, tilefish, and other deep-water bottom fish. The Raptor dual-disc carbon fiber drag system delivers twice the drag output of Avet’s standard series reels while keeping adjustments smooth and controlled throughout the fight.

Raptor Plus ergonomic upgrades make the HXJ Raptor Three-Speed easier to palm, thumb, and manage during freespool. A rounded side plate, refined frame shape, and reshaped crossbar improve access to the spool for better line control when dropping jigs, feeding live bait, or managing sink rate over structure. Avet’s silent dog and gear anti-reverse system uses multiple engagement teeth to eliminate handle back-play, giving anglers a solid feel under heavy drag pressure and long offshore battles.
