Target powerful offshore species like tuna, grouper, halibut, and amberjack with the strength and durability of the Penn US Senator Conventional Reel. This heavy-duty saltwater reel features a one-piece machined aluminum frame for rock-solid rigidity, paired with a forged, machined, and anodized aluminum spool that holds ample mono or braid. A 4.3:1 gear ratio strikes the balance between torque and line pickup, while the Live Spindle with free-floating spool makes drop presentations smooth and efficient—ideal for vertical jigging or bottom fishing in deep water.

Internally, the reel operates on a stainless steel main and pinion gear, supported by six shielded stainless steel ball bearings and Penn’s HT-100 carbon fiber drag washers, which provide steady, high-output drag pressure without compromising smoothness. Line capacity rings provide a quick visual reference while fighting fish, making this reel a go-to option for long runs, deep drops, and intense battles in demanding saltwater conditions.
