The Penn Fathom II Lever Drag Conventional Reel delivers uncompromising strength and smooth performance for offshore anglers targeting big game fish. Featuring a rigid one-piece machined aluminum frame and sideplate, this reel keeps internal alignment rock solid under heavy loads. The stainless steel main and pinion gears offer lasting durability and torque for bottom fishing or trolling applications, while the Dura-Drag system applies consistent pressure without chatter during hard runs. A five stainless steel bearing system provides smooth operation without sacrificing dependability in saltwater environments. The pull-to-turn preset knob helps prevent unintentional drag changes, and the forged and machined aluminum spool stands up to the demands of heavy braid or mono. For stand-up anglers, the FTHII60NLDHS model includes a removable top spacer bar and lugs to support harness use. Every feature of the Fathom II is tuned for performance under pressure, making it a trusted tool for tackling hard-fighting species offshore.
