I bought this rod for trolling for Kokanee. I wanted a slow action "soft" rod to use with the relatively small low drag lures and attractors used for Kokanee. The rod's action is just what I want with the only two issues I have being that there aren't many guides on the 8' rod and it is "tip heavy." The guides may need to be replaced after I've used the rod awhile and the tip being heavy isn't much of an issue since it's in a rod holder all the time. The freight seemed excessive but then everything does these days.

Loved these rods so much that I've purchased several already! Sturdy rods that work great for casting or even trolling with a spider rig. Sit perfect in rod holders and hold up well when the unfortunate happens - aka - snags. Definitely recommend for an affordable rod.

Excellent rod for casting a trout magnet and other lures. Especially good for a trout magnet because you do not have to use a sinker. Seems to be strong and durable.
