If you enjoy fishing for slabs with forward-facing sonar, you'll love the Catch The Fever Precision Crappie Jig Rear Seat Fighting Butt Rod, designed by professional angler Whitey Outlaw. At first glance, it resembles a fly rod made for salmon or steelhead, but it's a bonafide CTF crappie jigging rod. The Precision Jig Fighting Butt Rod features a double-locking reel seat that fits a small jigging reel perfectly, a fighting butt for wresting giant slabs from the water, and a receptive wood-grain insert for detecting light bites as they take your bait.

The fly rod comparison continues with the guide tip, a fly rod-style eye chosen by Catch The Fever after testing proved it offers better protection for rod tips than a regular casting eye. These two-piece crappie rods also come with cork handles and medium power rod blanks that provide plenty of backbone and tip sensitivity. The Precision Jig Rear Seat Fighting Butt Rod from Catch the Fever is available in 10 ft., 11 ft., and 12 ft. models, giving you the extended reach needed when fish get finicky.
