The Avet HXJ Raptor Plus Two-Speed Lever Drag Conventional Reel gives offshore anglers a heavy-duty narrow-frame reel with serious drag output for large tuna, wahoo, amberjack, grouper, and other powerful saltwater fish. Made in the USA, the HXJ Raptor Plus uses Avet’s patented dual-disc carbon fiber drag system to generate 40 lb. of drag at strike and 50 lb. at full, giving anglers the stopping power needed for hard runs, deep dives, and high-pressure fights. The narrow HXJ frame makes line management easier during jigging, live baiting, and bottom fishing without sacrificing too much capacity.

Precision-machined 6061 T-6 marine-grade aluminum and stainless steel components give the HXJ Raptor Plus a strong, corrosion-resistant platform with an optimized strength-to-weight ratio. More rounded side plates and an optimized frame shape make the reel more comfortable to hold and easier to thumb during freespool, which helps with bait control, drop speed, and cast management. Large soft-touch power handles reduce centerline profile and cranking wobble for a steadier feel under load.
