The Shimano SLX 70 Casting Reel differs from your average mid-level model low-profile baitcast reel. This Shimano baitcasting reel stands out for its unique features, such as the 32mm diameter spool with a capacity of #70 and its ability to cast lightweight lures with a low trajectory. For this reason, professionals have praised the previous model, SLXMGL. The MGL spool on the SLX 70 reduces inertia, improving casting stability and trajectory. The SVS Infinity braking system is infinitely adjustable, making it easy to determine the ideal setting. Finally, the SLX class has been equipped with the Silent Tune for the first time, which offers a higher-end model's casting feel. The reel also features Shimano's Hagane body concept and Cross Carbon Drag. Don't settle for an average casting reel. Upgrade to the Shimano SLX 70!

• MGL Spool III: low inertia spool with a thin wall designed to contribute to improving casting performance; quick response, long distance, cast feel, and castability
• SVS Infinity: provides easy-to-manage, consistent spool control and brake force to manage spool speed for precise casting
• Silent Tune: reduces the vibration of the bearing during high-speed rotation, reducing noise while casting and smoothing spool rotation
