The Daiwa Tatula TW80 Low-Profile Casting Reel is the smallest and lightest in the Tatula family, weighing just 6.5 ounces (184.3g). Lightweight, yes, and tough! The compact reel follows the next-generation biaxial bait reel Hyper Drive Design concept, bringing together Hyper Drive Digigear, Hyper Armed Housing (AL), and Hyper Tough Clutch for long-lasting high performance. The Tatula TW80 baitcaster, powerful beyond its small size, features a Magforce-Z brake, a Magforce-Z high-strength aluminum spool, and an 85mm aluminum crank handle with a high grip knob. The reel holds sufficient line capacity to handle power fishing without difficulty.

Daiwa states that the combination of brake and spool characteristics plus spool capacity matches lures of about 1/6 oz. - 3/4 oz., even for long-distance casting. The compact Tatula TW80 excels at short-range shooting styles where the cover is thick and the need for thick lines arises (think shoreline bass fishing). Daiwa pros agree that you can use the reel for lightweight lures, casts and pitches well, and Magforce-Z makes it possible to freely cast hard baits around 3/8 oz., the central weight of bass lures regardless of the distance. The tough concept and high basic performance at the core of the Tatula series are evident in the compact and lightweight TW80. Considering the range of applications and abundant line capacity, you can always find a situation to use the Daiwa Tatula TW80 Low-Profile Casting Reel!

• Magforce-Z brake: magnet structure promotes smooth rotor operation by strengthening the brakes in the first half of the cast and weakening them on the second half for a stretchy cast feel
• Magforce-Z high strength aluminum spool is ideal for lures about 1/6 oz. - 3/4 oz.
• 85mm aluminum crank handle
• Hyper Drive Design
  • Hyper Drive Digigear: continuous strong and smooth rotation via Daiwa technology that achieves an increase in meshing ratio without reducing the gear tooth size
  • Hyper Armed Housing (AL): tough housing system that firmly supports the internal structure with high rigidity and high precision and produces precise winding comfort and power
  • Hyper Tough Clutch: clutch system for a sharp on/off performance that slides tens of thousands of times, built with state-of-the-art insulation for protection in saltwater conditions
• TWS (T-Wing System): greatly reduces the resistance at the line guide near the spool where the spool rotation speed is the highest, promises comfortable fishing with less backlash
• UTD (Ultimate Tournament Drag): eliminates initial bite at start-up and achieves smoothness without unevenness
• Zero adjuster: the evolution of the magnet brake has made it possible to control all lures with only the mag dial
• Manufacturer's one-year warranty
