The Shimano Curado 200 M Low-Profile Baitcasting Reel, redesigned and refined, improves castability with heavier lines and lures. With more line capacity than prior models, the Curado 200 M now also benefits from Shimano's MagnumLite (MGL) Spool III, which reduces start-up inertia. Suppose you aim for big catches using paddle-tail swimbaits, jigs, cranks, frogs, Carolina rigs, or umbrella rigs. In that case, the revised Shimano baitcast reel offers unmatched casting performance, and adding SilentTune technology assures quiet casting. At the same time, SVS Infinity provides easy-to-manage, consistent spool control and brake force adjustments in tough conditions or when switching between baits.

The Curado 200 M is the top choice for anglers who want high performance and durability. Made with HAGANE Body aluminum, it's rigid and efficient. MicroModule Gear, Cross Carbon Drag, and X-Ship ensure smoothness, durability, and versatility. The redesign expands the reputation of the Curado as a do-everything reel that's been built for over 30 years. The Curado 200 M reel can cast big lines and baits, making it perfect for tournaments and catching big fish!

• MGL III Spool
  • The MGL III Spool is an ultra-thin spool that thoroughly pursues low inertia. The spool has a reduction in inertia by about 15% compared to the second-generation MGL Spool by using a narrow shape with a width of 19 mm for the outer diameter of 34 mm. Resulting in unparalleled casting performance.
• Silent Tune
  • By applying a slight pressure to the bearing holding the spool, it reduces the vibration of the bearing during high speed rotation. This realizes further quietness improvement during casting. Rise of spool rotation has become even smoother.
• X-PROTECT
  • By combining Shimano's water-repellent coating and specially designed, water-channeling labyrinth construction, X-PROTECT provides high-level water resistance without sacrificing light gear and rotor rotation.
• HAGANE Body
  • The HAGANE Body is a metal reel body with high rigidity. The body stiffness and impact resistance virtually eliminate body flexing. The result transforms the angler's actions directly into cranking power. It's efficiency through strength.
• Micro Module Gear
  • The Micro Module Gear System creates a smooth retrieve. The gear set makes use of smaller teeth and more of them. This means that there are more contact points between the drive gear and pinion gear. The result is a more efficient gear train with less gear feel.
